What Causes Hole In The Intestine With Blockage?

My husband had his colon removed four years ago & the last two months has had small intestine blockage twice; this last time he had an infection & small hole; NG tube done & resolved in both cases. I m concerned about the hole & how to prevent future episodes?

First of all we have to find the cause of the intestinal obstruction; whether due to adhesion,, kinking or stricture. For this Enteroclysis has to be done. Scopy through the aboral (lowest part) part of the intestines and CT scan is important.
Diagnostic Laparoscopy helps for diagnosis as well as therapy.
