What Causes Horrible Lateral Foot And Heel Pain?

I have horrible lateral foot and heel pain. I had a cortisone injection last Tuesday and it was not effective for plantar fasciitis. Stretching, ice, and Motrin have not made a difference either. I am on vacation and have bought multiple high arch shoes Birkenstock and abeo but nothing is helping. What else can I do short of going go the ER?

You should apply hot and cold fomentation 5 minutes for each then apply analgesic gel and crepe bandage and soft rubber footwear
