What Causes Hot/cold Sensations On Opposite Side Of Head?
I was pedestrian hit by car April 14/11. had fib/tib operation tender hip on left side still, my left to front area of head hit roof of car...I continue to feel hot/cold sensations on opposite side of my head usually top right area...the feelings don t usually last long. It use to be very tender but that has dissapated a while ago.Prior to accident when exercising after about 10 minutes I would get tingly feet. Since accident I have this at all times now and it sometimes goes up calf area both legs.I also have constant tingly hands and fingers but has not spread up the arms. Neurologist did test and said no nerve damage asked me to get checked for diabetes-was NEG. Also asked if I had previous back injury which I had herniated L4 L5 ,15 yrs.( this was treated with Physio and then I coninued to exercise for years...very little issues after that) .Low low back and neck have been issues since accident. I use to be very dizzy and issues with balance but this has been subsiding .WHy head hot cold feeling ...just curious.
This sounds like a very fine irritation of one or more nerve endings. Very difficult to diagnose, normally not visible in CT, MRI etc. So most likely still the aftermath of your accident. However, these phenomena can disappear suddenly after a while. It’s only important that your CT and MRI are clear and no pathologies could be found. Sometimes hot/cold-change showers help. But that’s not evidence based.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
