Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My mother said this morning that she experienced what sounds to be a hot flash, very hot, afterwhich she said she remained dizzy for some hours. This evening she mentioned she was having a sharp pain in her temple. She is 88 years of age. Just wondering if there could be something serious going on or a series of coincidencies?
Thank you for using HCM. By the symptoms you said i advise your mother might be having a transient ischemic attack the cause for which needs to be evaluated. Consideration her age she needs evaluation of carotid stenosis and intracranial aneurysm. I suggest you consult a neurologist and explain the symptoms so that he can evalaute her.
