Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve been experiencing these strange occurances. It starts with really hot flashes to my face and it stays hot and red for a while. Then I get a rapid heart rate and dizzy spells/light headedness. Then it turns into a slight headache. I am on blood pressure medication Procardia XL and have been on it since August. What could be my problem?
I passed carefully through your question and would explain that your symptoms could be related to high blood pressure values.
For this reason, I would recommend you to closely monitor your blood pressure values during these episodes.
I would also recommend performing some blood lab tests (complete blood count, PCR, ESR for inflammation, thyroid hormone levels for thyroid gland dysfunction, blood electrolytes for possible imbalances).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
