What Causes Hot Flashes While Using Ergo Calciferol Tablet?
My 22 year old daughter wash just recently started diagnosed with a Vit.D deficiency. She was prescribed ergo calciferol 1.25 mg ( 1 pill per week). She s now experiencing being hot all the time. She s miserable. It s like she s having hot flashes. Is this excessive heat a side effect of the medication?

These are not the side effects of the medicine prescribed.
I would advise to add Tablet Calcium along with this drug
Get blood test for Thyroid Profile to exclude Thyroid Disease
Blood Test for Lipid Profile
Check the diet.
Spend enough time in the 'SUN'
Give-fatty fish,cod liver oil,mushrooms,tofu,dairy products,all are rich in Vitamin D
