Hello,

Pins & needles feeling (hotness) in the feet, difficulty in walking is an indication of nerve disease or nerve inflammation. It looks like Peripheral Neuropathy.

You are suggested to visit a GP & get physically examined. Get all Nerve Conduction tests, Nerve biopsy, skin biopsy, Imaging tests & blood tests done.

Your treatment will depend upon the severity of the pathology detected. In the meantime take vitamin B6, B12 with folic acid & minerals (calcium, zinc, magnesium).

Stay away from addictions if any. Maintain blood sugar levels to normal else it will trigger nerve inflammation. Do not get overweight. Avoid oily food.

Take berries, fruits, veggies, whole grain, food rich in calcium, protein & iron. You can take low-fat dairy products.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
