What Causes Hypersensitivity To Light, Sound And Touch?

I m a physical therapist and have a patient with hypersenstivity to light sound and touch, she says her feet get hot and turn red at times. She is perimenopausal and having symptoms like hot flashes and daily headaches also. I m seeing her for back and neck pain which isn t resolving. She has tested negative in the past for rheumatoid factors. Her symptoms still sound metabolic in nature. Does any of this make sense?

Hi,

This is due to hormonal changes occurring during the menopausal period. All these complaints might go away in a few months. However, consult the gynecologist and physician for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilyas Patel,
