What Causes Hypoknesis Of The GB?
Hi, I have had some intermittent problems with epigastric discomfort. My LFT s have been found to be mildly elevated. I had a HIDA scan which showed my EF to be 9%. What causes hypokinesis of the GB? I am a nurse. Incidently, 30 years ago I had a very severe case of mono with liver involvement (Hepatitis). Could this be any way related? Thank you for your response. Laurie

The actual cause of gallbladder hypokinesis is not known although it may have something to do with the makeup of the bile
If it's causing you significant problems I'd suggest having your gallbladder removed
