What Causes Immobility And Loss Of Speech In 80 Year Old Woman?

My mom 80 yrs old is taking 6 tabs of Syndopa plus per day with 1.5 tabs of adcapone.She takes 2 tabs of amantrel and now has started taking Pratrem 0.25 mg twice daily.She has suddenly lost her mobility and is not able to speak from 3 weeks.Please guide.

She is taking medicines for Parkinsons disease which is a progressive disease , means the disease will not get cured with the medicines she is using . It will just control her symptoms and slow down the progression of the disease.

With time , with continued usage of medications the efficacy of medicines will comes down and the severity of the disease increases . The same has happened for her also . The severity of her disease has suddenly increased .

For this her medications especially Syndopa has to be increased . I advise you to take her to a Neurologist and her treatment revised .
