What Causes Increase In The Blood Glucose Level?

My 15 yr old had a fasting blood glucose level 101, through routine bloodwork at his mental healthcare provider. They want him to see his regular doctor, because he is having mood problems, he will be really super hungry and cranky and then gets tired and grumpy. What could be the issue

Please let me confirm to you that 101 is not a high sugar. It is absolutely normal.

In fact I would suggest TSH levels with the above complaints you have mentioned.
