What Causes Increase In Weight After Having Birth Control Patches?

I was on depo for about 9 months got off for about 4 months then got the birth control patches and I gained a lot of weight I have an overactive thyroid so I ve always been tiny even after I had my son but when I got the shot I started gaining weight and I don t know why I haven t lost any weight

It can be due to hormonal imbalance caused by birth control patches.
Please repeat your thyroid level also.
The hormonal effect can be there for 5-6 months.
