What Causes Increased White Blood Cells During Kidney Infection?
I was diagnosed with a kidney infection Monday and got IV antibiotics and oral to take at home. I am still not feeling well and normally I am starting to feel better. I m very weak and still fighting over a fever. They said my white blood cells were high. I also have a pain on my left side when I take a deep breath.
You will mostly improve fully after completion of the antibiotic course. In the case of kidney infection that is pyelonephritis, the antibiotics need to be prescribed for 14 days. If no improvement than urine culture should be done for further workup.
