What Causes Increasingly Loud Tinnitus Along With Muffled Hearing?

I ve had tinnitus for several years, maybe because of my hypothyroid but I woke up this morning and the ringing is a LOT louder and my hearing is muffled. it s been getting progressively worse all day. What is wrong with my hearing? Is it just my thyroid?

Tinnitus usually arises as a result of an underlying condition, such as age-related hearing loss, ear injury or a circulatory system disorder.
I don't think it is because of your thyroid disease.
It can become bothersome with age and it can be treated as well if the cause is itself treated .
Are you having difficulty hearing or any dizziness because then you must be seen by a doctor near you.
I feel that it's necessary to examine you and perform an audio logical exam as well as a movement exam to be more sure of the cause of Tinnitus.
