What Causes Indentation And Swelling Around The Shin?
Several years ago I took a hard blow to my left shin. Now the skin over that area is darkened and indented. If I get edema in my legs from sitting too long, that area does not swell. It remains indented and the area around it swells. Is this muscle damage?

It could be a cortical defect in the bone.
