Hi thanks for contacting HCM... Noted here mucus and blood in stool since 4 month.... So you have to consult gastroentetologist and taken detail history with investigation... Here are few differential diagnosis... -chronic gastroenteritis -malabsorption syndrome -inflammatory bowel disease -chronic parasitic infection -tuberculosis of intestine You have to first get your stool examined for parasites egg or trophozoites and pus cells and also for occult blood.... If infection there antibiotic like ornidazole might needed. Meanwhile take soft and bland diet with more fruit juice.... Spicy and non veg food avoided ... USG helpful.... Causative treatment done.... If cause not clear then colonoscopy needed with subsequent biopsy for histopathological examination.... Take care. Hope this will help. Dr.Parth
