Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have recently had my blood thinner changed to xarelto, it seems since the change I have indigestion on a regular basis. Is there something I need to take to make the transition were comfortable? Or should I take the med at a time other than 1st thing in the morning?
dyspepsia is a relatively common side effect. The only thing you can do about it is to take xarelto after eating (if you don't already do that). If the intensity of the symptom is high then perhaps you should talk with the treating physician about switching to another drug of the same type (there are a few options).
I hope you find my comments helpful! You can contact me again, if you'd like any clarification or further information.
Kind Regards!
