My father who has type 2 diabetes and is 65 has an infection on one of his toes. His toe is purple/blackish. I just found out today. He didn't want to worry me but it looks very bad. He says his big toe nail was rubbing against the skin of the other toe.

Diet restrictions avoiding high sugar intake Timely meals avoiding snacks in between Dressing the wound daily Daily anaerobic exercises Having insulin or medications regularly Will help in the healing process of the wound.
