Hallow Dear,

Some Sexually Transmitted Diseases like Gonorrhoea or even any infection of the genital tract for the matter can lead to infertility by causing block in the tubes and/or adhesions in the tissues around the tubes and uterus. You had developed an infection of reproductory organs due to stuck up condom in the vagina for few days. However, the condom was removed and you were given courses of antibiotics promptly. Therefore, it is quite likely that the tubes have not been blocked as yet. Usually for adhesions in the pelvis, chronic infection is more responsible.

You need not jump to the conclusion that you have landed in to infertility due to this infection and also that the infection you had was STD. Anyway, the infection has been effectively treated. Now what remains is to find out whether this infection has caused tubal block and/or pelvic adhesions or not. Hysterosalpingography and Laparoscopy will reveal the situation.

Please report to your Gynaecologist for these investigations; however, not immediately. Let the tissues settle down after the infection. Give a good time of about 3-6 months to prevent the relapse of any infection. If these tests prove that none of your reproductory organ nor the pelvic cavity is damaged, then you may carry on further investigations like ultrasonography ovulation monitoring and semen examination for evaluate these factors. Then if needed, further investigations may be carried out later.

You need to consult your Gynaecologist madam.

I hope this helps you.
