What Causes Inflammation And Pain In Puncture Wound Around Venous Insufficiency Rash?

I have had a small puncture wound that grew around a venous insufficiency rash I had. It continued to get bigger and does not respond to anything except somewhat to Cipro. My woundcare doctor did a vein procedure and thought for sure it would work. It seems to have made it worse. Biopsys and pathology tests of all kinds have been done. All that was discovered was a minor infection that didn t appear to have caused the problem. It is extremely inflammed and painful.

Hello,

For this, you should consult a dermatologist. You can take a second opinion, but without seeing you, it is not possible to advise. Hopefully, as it is very minor one, you will be fine with proper treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Surajit Gorai
