Internal Medicine Specialist, Dr. Malik's Response
Hello,
Swelling in the lower extremities and redness are common side effects of Amantadine drug. If the medicine was recently prescribed it may take some time until your body adjusts to it.
You do not need to be concerned if it does not cause difficulty or annoyance. If this becomes troublesome, then please speak with your doctor to change the medicine.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Malik Amonov
