What Causes Inflammation And Swelling In The Calves?

I AM A 65 YEAR OLD WOMAN WHO IS BEING TREATED FOR A-TYPICAL PARKINSONS. I AM PRESENTLY TAKING 25/100 CARBADOBA LEVADOBA 3X A DAY, 8 AM, NOON AND 4 PM. I ALSO TAKE 100 MGS OF AMANADINE WITH MY 8 AND NOON DOSES OF C/L. RECENTLY MY NEUROLGIST ADDED 0.5 CLONAZEPAM TO THE MIX ONCE IN THE MORNING AND AT BEDTIME. MY FEET, AND LEGS TO ABOUT THE MIDDLE OF MY CALVES ARE RED AND PUFFY. I HAVE NO PAIN AND THERE S NO HEAT. SHOULD I BE CONCERNED . IT S BEEN OVER A WEEK. QU

Swelling in the lower extremities and redness are common side effects of Amantadine drug. If the medicine was recently prescribed it may take some time until your body adjusts to it.

You do not need to be concerned if it does not cause difficulty or annoyance. If this becomes troublesome, then please speak with your doctor to change the medicine.
