Hello, I am having intense buzzing in my ears. Usually when everything is quite I can always hear a lite buzzing sound in my right ear. But now that my sinus are clogged up the buzzing is really intense. I need to talk, listen to music or watch tv for the effect to lesten. Any clue on what I should do? I am afraid that it could affect my hearing since its been doing this for almost 2 days. Thanks!
Such buzzing sound is usually due to inflammation of the internal ear structure called cochlea, secondary to viral or bacterial infection spread from nose via Eustachian tube.
* Stop blowing nose strictly as this will increase the problems * Take an anti-inflammatory medicines like Ibuprofen if it suits you * Nasal decongestant drops * Oral Decongestants * Steam Inhalation Consult an ENT Surgeon for proper clinical evaluation, examination and investigations; to get started on additional medicines as required like antibiotic. Take rest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
