What Causes Intense Headaches With Eye Twitching?

Hello, I have been having intense headaches for the past 24 hours. My left eye keeps twitching and feels lazy. My entire body is also aching (mostly back and ribs). I am a 22 year old female and have never felt this terrible before. Should I go to my local doctor?

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to a viral infection or an electrolyte imbalance. For this reason, I recommend consulting with your GP for a physical exam and some tests:

- a resting ECG
- blood electrolytes
- complete blood count, PCR, ESR for inflammation
- thyroid hormone levels for possible thyroid gland dysfunction.

If your situation gets worse in the next hours, I recommend going to the ER.
