What Causes Intense Pain In The Right Wrist?

I am a 60 year old male. I ve been having a problem with my right hand. I m experiencing a lot of pain in my wrist for a couple of days, especially on the palm side and my hand is numb and tingling. The hand wants to rest in a semi closed position and it hurts when I open it or try to make grip anything.

Hi, there!
Your description makes me think about carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS).
You can suffer from burning sensation at night and finger numbness.
Electromyography scan can measure nerve conduction and confirm diagnosis for choosing further treatment (physiotherapy or surgery)

I hope this helps
