What Causes Intense Pain In The Stomach And Diarrhea?
I had the stomach virus over the weekend and the symptoms from it have seemed to pass. It’s been about 6 days since I first noticed being sick and throwing up diarrhea etc...
For the last 3 days I’ve had almost an intense pain in my stomach like someone was tying it in a not. Not a nausea type pain. It is kind of hard to explain. Any ideas on what the pain could possibly be coming from?
I understand your concern. The pain of your stomach can be related to the vomiting. Some advice that I can give you are:
1) Take PPI medications such as Omeprazole 20 mg.
2) Don't use non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs) like Aspirin or Ibuprofen.
3) Take probiotics for the diarrhea.
4) Drink liquids.
5) Eat mild foods.
Hope my answer was helpful. If you have any other questions, Ill be glad to help.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
