What Causes Inter Menstrual Vaginal Spotting?

Hi, I had my tubes clamped two years ago and I am starting to regret the decision I made because I ve been having complications since this procedure was done. I been experiencing right side sharp pain during my period. I also been bleeding from the buttocks only during my period. Something different happened last month. I didn t saw my period instead I spotted off and on for about three days along with the right side sharp pain. So when the next month arrived which is this month, I am still spotting with pain and still waiting on my period. I really need answers. I don t know what s going on. I would highly appreciate it if I could get a response. Thanks

Hi,

The intermenstrual vaginal spotting is not related to tubal ligation. The mild pain during the periods can be related to uterine cramps that can decrease with an oral antispasmodic agent.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rakhi Tayal,
