What Causes Intermenstrual Bleeding?

Hello I had my period last week. It ended Thursday. I just went to the bathroom and I started bleeding again. I had my tubes tied during my csection 18 months ago. I am 30 years old. I have had a lot of stress lately because my mom find out she has cancer in her uterus. Should I be worried? What should I do? Thanks, Casey

Hi,
The irregular bleeding you are experiencing seems to have issued form a transient hormone disturbance owing to stress as you have explained. After tubal resection, some amount of menstrual irregularity is usually observed. Yet, this should not be the case here since you had the tubal resection some while ago. Please contact your health care provider to assess the situation. You may need styptics to control the bleeding and also hormones if needed. Hope you find this information helpful.
