Mild pain will be there till you completely recover from post surgical issues. It will be mainly there when you move around and not during taking rest. It will settle down within few days. If it so disturbing you can take some pain killers that your doctors have prescribed. Now-a-days everything has some kind of treatment modality so don't worry about whether it cancerous or not. You need not worry much.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
