What Causes Intermittent Cough With Phlegm, Tickle In Throat And Headache?
I have had an intermittent cough for over 3 years now. At the drop of a hat I start coughing and after about 7 to 9 really forceful coughs I will get a small amount of phlem into my mouth and then I stop coughing. Sometimes I get a tickle in the back of my throat before I start coughing and it feels like something dropping onto the back of my throat. I cough so hard sometimes it can give me a slight headache. My lungs are good and I have no shortness of breath.
HI Thank for asking to HCM You said the cough is there since last three years, this could be non specific type of cough, which is not harmful to health, neither this requires any medicine, this would only happens at the time of emotional stress, highly related with the psychological condition, keep your stress level low, if I would be your doctor then I would try the following medicine, 1) Tab Chlorodiazepoxide three times in day this can be tried on tentative basis, hope this information helps you, have good day.
