What Causes Intermittent Fainting?

I have a friend that has been put in ICU. She slept through the night and only woke up when someone roused her up. She keeps passing out and her pupils are the size of a pin head. They have run an EEG and other tests but can t determine what it is. She is still in the same state she was when she entered the hospital.

Hi,

Regarding your concern, you should know that your symptoms could be related to poisoning or drug intake. Have you checked her house for possible hidden drugs or any other substances? It is important performing a brain MRI and some toxicological tests to investigate for the possible underlying causes.

Hope to have been helpful. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards,
Dr. Aida
