What Causes Intermittent Hard Pounding Of Heart?

my 4 year old daughter had been complaining of a hard pounding in her heart. it happens randomly through it the day and persists for a half hour or so then quits.... it really seems to bother her. it has no other symptoms with it. but what could this be?

Hey,
childrens of this age generally have a higher heart rate than a older individual. This is mainly because of high metabolic rate.
Secondly if the increased rate is bothersome & he is also having breathlessness on exertion or he is lagging behind the children of his age then he need evaluation.
Morphological abnormality in the heart can manifest at this age. So first get a 2D Echo done to rule out the same.
