What Causes Intermittent Severe Pain In Top Of Stomach Below Ribs?

I have intermittant severe pain in top of stomach just below ribs. It is not always associated with food. It can happen with or without alcohol. Apples seem to irritate the pain. When i have the attack I feel faint, severe pain, sweat profusely. The symptoms can last from 1hr to 1-6 hrs.

Hello dear...

So many causes of pain in the rib area for example left rib area :
1.acute gastritis
2.peptic and duodenal ulcers
3.acute pancreatitis
4.left renal colic /renal stone
5.left colon pathology

Right side
1.hepatitis
2.cholangititis
3.cholecystitis
4.right renal stone
5.Right colon malignancy

You seems to alcoholic and there is a possibility of 1.alcoholic gastritis
2.pancreatitis

Avoid alcohol
Take cap. Rabeprazole and domperifone before break fast
Simple pain killer tramadol may help
If symptoms not improved consult your doctor.
