What Causes Intermittent Tingling In Fingers And Swelling Of Lips?
I am 66 years old. I was diagnosed with diabetes July 2009. I have been taking lisinopril for almost 2 years. I have intermittent tingling in my fingers on my left hand. Yesterday my lip started to swell. I did not add anything new to my meals. This morning my lip is still swollen but much more. I took benadryl 25mg last night. I am also an african american female. I believe that I may have angioedema.

It is possible that the swelling is related to the lisinopril which is a cause of angioedema and coughing. In some cases the angioedema may be severe and affect the airway.
With no history of allergies, this is the likely cause.
You should consider speaking to your doctor who may advise to discontinue the lisinopril.
There are other anti hypertensives that can be used instead.
