What Causes Involuntary Humming In A Child?
I HAVE A 7 YEAR OLD AND IT WAS BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT SHE HUMS WHILE IN CLASS AND ITS A DISTRACTION... WHEN I SPOKE TO HER SHE SAID SHE DIDNT EVEN KNOW SHE WAS DOING IT AND WAS OBLIVIOUS TO THE TEACHERS MULTIPLE REQUESTS FOR HER TO STOP. IS THIS NORMAL?

This is not normal and we need to consider vocal tics in this particular condition. It could be a transient tic disorder or it could be a Tourette syndrome.
