12 months ago hemoglobin 2.6, had 7 blood transfusions immediately and 1 week later 1g iron infusion (no signs blood loss, had tests etc). My doctor took monthly blood tests and 5 mths later had another iron infusion 1g. Now 6 mths later all happening again and my doctor says I dont absorb iron. what now? (he has no answers)
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. Due to individual variation, some people may not absorb some specific things like B complex, iron etc. In such cases, natural supplements may be tried, to have the natural iron absorbed. There will be some natural iron suppliment syrups by aurvedic companies. These are the things to be tried to have the hemoglobin raised. If this fails you may consult a hematologist for treatment. Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and protein rich foods. wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
