What Causes Irregular Heart Rates

some times when i sprint really hard in like a 40 yard dash it fells like my heart gets out of rythem, like my heart is beating faster than i can breath to catch up to it. i have been an athalet all my life and this has happend about 10 times in my life ,it scares the hell out of you but i never get dizzy or fell like im going to pass out .i take atenal 100 mg aday for blood pressure and a slight arythmia.got any sugestions?

Hi,

It is possible that you may be developing exercise-induced ventricular arrhythmias (EIVA).

Hypertensive with left ventricular hypertrophy or hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy patients more prone to develop an arrhythmia.

So you have to check blood pressure, TMT, echocardiogram, ECG etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your physician/cardiologist they will examine and treat you accordingly.
