Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Irregular Heartbeats With Palpitations And Weakness?
I sometimes have a very irregular heart beat. It's not so much how many times my heart beats a minute that's the problem, it's more about the time frame between the beats. I feel very weak and hot and jittery and my heart will have no predictable beat. It will be like one hard beat then three soft fast ones, then a long pause and a hard one and so on. What could this be? Is it normal? I do tend to have anxiety could that be a factor?
After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that if your feeling skipped beats frequently then it is advised to get one ecg done, if any arrhythmia in the ecg then kindly get a HOLTER (ambulatory ECG) done for minimum 48 hours and consult a cardiologist with reports for further treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhanu Partap, Cardiologist
