What Causes Irregular Menstrual Bleeding While Having A Lump In The Vaginal Opening?

I ve been having a period the past few months, 2-3 times a month maybe 4. Period lasting for a week and a half then stopping for a few days and starting back up. and I haven t had a period in a few years due to my birth control. (Nexplanon) so it was alarming but ignored it. This week however, I noticed My front wall in my vagina is swollen and I can see it at my vagina opening. However, the swelling is ONLY on the center of the FRONT wall, creating a U shape. So when I put a tampon in it often will go in the crease between the swelling and non swelled front wall. The swelling is taking up the majority of room in the opening so I have to push past it to get in. My vagina opening has gotten A lot wider and bigger since the swelling started. And my hymen hangs down more too. I just noticed this a few days ago. Then yesterday I noticed a lump in the back left of my vagina the size of a golf ball, very hard. And I also noticed that when I strain to poop what looks like hemmorhoids come out of my anus. & once there was a little amount of blood in toilet paper from anus. Then today, I noticed that I was so constipated that the anus was pushing my back vagina wall in very very far. I did an enema and was able to relieve that issue for now. However, I still don t know what s going on. my front wall swelling in the center, the lump in the back left of vagina, vagina and rectum bleeding, hemmorhoid, and vagina opening. . Is this a coincidence or is all this related? I went to the er yesterday and they did an internal and abdominal ultrasound along with looking in my vagina for a minute, and said there s no prolapse and everything is perfect. However, an hour after I got home I found the lump. & I went to the gastro today, he didn t do any tests or exams, I just told him about my issue and he just gave me anti inflammatory cream. So I m very confused to say the least and don t know what to do until I see a gyno. Any suggestions on what it is?

Hi,

For this, there are few causes and most common is Bartholin's Cyst which Is located midway of the labia, and protrudes into the vagina and may cause discomfort during sexual intercourse.
Bartholin's cyst is formed when a Bartholin's gland is blocked, causing a fluid-filled cyst to develop. Bartholin's cyst is not an infection, although it can be caused by an infection, inflammation, or physical blockage (mucus or other impediments) to the Bartholin's ducts (tubes which lead from the glands to the vulva).
Second, the Infected hair follicle may form a small abscess, which can cause a small swelling, but it is associated with redness and throbbing pain.

Proper diagnosis requires a proper physical examination of the swelling in question. You might consult a gynaecologist who can examine and then decide on the appropriate treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
