What Causes Irregular Menstrual Flow While On BC Pills?

I m on the ovranette contraceptive pill and have been for 3 years now, my period has always been regular and normal and on time also lasting the week as normal, this month though I have had dark red/brownish spotting only, the first day was a reasonable amount but the second day has been spotting only.. I have started my first day on the pill after my week break.. Why is it that my period just was not normal. What could it be? What should I do? Please help.. I m 19 by the way, help?

Hi

It is better to get your HORMONAL analysis esply thyroid and Prolactin. You can also take a break of OC pills for 3 to 6 months and restart again.
