General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Possible endocrine disturbances like PCOS and hypothyroidism must be ruled out. A TFT (thyroid function test) is required to check the functional status of thyroid. If you are hypothyroid, thyroxine supplementation may be needed. An ultrasound abdomen is required to look for changes consistent with PCOS.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
