What Causes Irregular Periods, Vibration/bloating In Abdomen, Difficulty Sleeping With Negative Pregnancy?

Hi. I am 48.5 years old. Last period nov 28, 2013. Have had an occasional irregular period in the last year. Did a home test on feb 15, came up negative and 3 more since then came up negative. No pregnancy symptoms, have had some weight gain in abdominal area. Feeling vibrations movement in abdomen though. Tiny amount of blood late last week. Nothing since then. Difficulty sleeping. Under stress lately, started a new job in early dec. did have unprotected intercourse with husband mid december, who has had varococele surgery 10 years ago, now he is age 50. Your thoughts?

Hi dear, I think your menopause is setting in so you are getting perimenopausal symptoms. These usually are mild and will subside eventually. But if bothersome you can start with hormone replacement therapy and visit your gynecologist for the same. Take care and all the best.
