What Causes Irregular Periods?
hi,I m 32 years old and having this irregular periods since i was 30,before it s just became shorter from 28 days cycle down to 24 or 21 sometimes,but this month after i 10 days of my period i started spotting lasted for 3 days and 3 days clear and spotting again,i still don t have my normal period just spotting from time to time,sometimes pinkish,dark brown and sometimes bloody,hope to get some advice,,Thanks

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Irregular periods and spotting can occur due to :
1. Hormonal disturbances like hypothyroidism, hyperprolactemia, Cushing syndrome, PCOS
2. Local lesions in cervix or vagina including cervical cancer
3. Hormonal changes in endometrial lining known as dysfunctional uterine bleeding
4. Local pathology in the uterus like fibroid.
I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated including hormonal profile, ultrasound, pap smear and endometrial biopsy, if needed, and get appropriate treatment.
