Hello,

Irregular periods commonly occur due to anemia, low body weight, poor general health condition, stress, PCOS, thyroid dysfunction, hormonal imbalances, etc. You are suggested to take home made balanced food rich in calcium high in protein, iron and other minerals. You can also take iron supplements. Get a complete medical check up done, get all the required tests done. You should get T3, T4, TSH and CBD, HB%, urinalysis and hormonal tests done.

Learn to manage stress. You can take syrup Ashokarishta or uterine tonics to boost uterine health. Get clinically examined by a gynae. Your treating doctor will treat the underlying health condition that is causing you symptoms. You will be treated with hormonal therapy, hormonal birth control, etc., whatever is best for you. Your treatment will depend on pathology detected. Get treated at the earliest.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
