General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The blood while washing the mouth can be related to bleeding gums.

Occasional bleeding of the gums can be caused by brushing your teeth too vigorously.

If the bleeding is repetitive I suggest to do a blood test and a platelets count for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
