What Causes Irritation, Redness And Dryness In Eyes?
Hi,
Since yesterday i am having irritation in my right eyes and it has also turned red. I wear lenses regularly. I even visited a doc last week and he said i have dry eyes. I was advised to use Moisol Z thrice a day. I have been using it since a week now and until yesterday there was no problem. Yesterday my eyes turned red and after i opened the lenses, i was facing weird irritation in my right eye. Even today i am feeling the same. It appears as if i am still wearing lenses, but i am not. Every time i blink my eyes i find something is there in my eyes which make me feel uncomfortable.
Can you please advise what could be the cause of this and how to cure it.
Hello It seems from the history that you are having redness, irritation and dryness of the eyes. Since also wear contact lenses, contact lens related injury or infection needs to be ruled out. The first thing to be done is to stop using the contact lenses till the symptoms are relieved. The treatment of the condition is by using antibiotic eye drops and artificial tears eye drops. Since infection needs to be ruled out I advice you to consult ophthalmologist for examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
