What Causes Irritation, Sore And Dryness In Vagina During Intercourse?

two days ago I had sex with my boyfriend and it was only my third time in life, but since first and second time passed 9 months so basically I am not experienced, me and my boyfriend kind of went rough and at one point I felt like I was dry so it hurt a little bit but later with put lubricant, which because of that dryness I think my vagina got a bit irritated, plus I am super sore and it feels itchy at some points, maybe I have a yeast infection or something? I can t tell, there is no weird odor or weird discharge, in fact since I had sex on friday I didn t even have that much of a discharge, I think I m a bit swollen and today when I was peeing it burned a little bit. Also I am on antibiotic because of sore throat and a last few days I couldn t sleep properly because I am supposed to get my period and I m not much of a healthy eater especially while pmsing haha so I think it is yeast infection or maybe it is just normal, because I am sore from sex?

Vaginal dryness is common and usually result of lack of estrogens but some other less common causes may be present. The most common treatment for vaginal dryness due to low estrogen levels is topical estrogen therapy. In order to keep the vagina more lubricated, try using a vaginal moisturizer (Replens). You use a disposable applicator such as Vagifem to insert a tablet into your vagina once a day for the first two weeks of treatment. Avoid using douches, bubble baths, scented soaps, and lotions around the sensitive vaginal area. These products can worsen dryness.
