I am 31yrs old Male with history of duodenal ulcers and gastritis. I have been treated several times for the ailments and until four months ago i would self prescribe omeprazole when symptoms were severe;this would happen especially when I worked night shifts. I was also slightly overweight at 85kg(ht 5t 6") However of late I have resorted to lifestyle change mainly sleeping regular hours and exercising at least thrice weekly by jogging six kilometers per session. The results have been good and I have lost 5 kg. I now weigh 80kg. I avoid using omeprazole or other GI drugs when symptoms present. I simply drink water, milk or take a light snack. Now I get a peculiar itch above and beside my navel especially after meals. I am concerned that it may be an ominous sign say of cancer. Kindly advise.
