What Causes Itchiness And Discharge From The Left Breast?

my left breast has itche (for ~ 2 weeks). A pustule formed at the aereola/nipple border and, when touched, there was a cheesy white discharge, followed by a crusty patch. A week ago I noticed the nipple deviates to the left. My annual mammogram is scheduled April 17 (due to Medicare regs). After 3 days of topical Mucopuricin ointment, it still itches, but may be less red. I find it worrisome, but my doc thinks is ok to wait for the April mammogram Should I get it sooner, even if I have to pay for it?

It is better to get mammogram early if your doctor wants it. Malignancy is unlikely if there a pustule on skin that is bleeding. Also malignancy doesn't heal on its own. Any suspicion of non healing ulcer or lump, seek medical attention immediately
