What Causes Itchiness And Redness Around The Waist?

Hi!Last year in june I had severe itching and redness above my waist which gradually spread on my right shoulder and then on the back.It left black marks which have faded on the shoulder but is still there on the belly.With the onset of May this year the problem has recurred.Plz help what is it and it s cure?

Hi,

It may be contact allergic dermatitis most probably. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. Avoid the contact with suspected allergens. Oral steroid in tapering dose would control the condition. Take antihistaminics like cetirizine 10 mg daily.
Apply mild steroid cream.
