What Causes Itchiness In The Anus?

I have a really itchy ass hole and if I scratch for long periods of time it bleeds badly, sometimes profusely! Do I have internal parasites? Also, you should know that I take it up the ass on a regular basis, perhaps this also has something to do with it? however my sex partner is quite hygienic. I m very picky when it comes to bum chums.

Hello,

Anal sex may be the cause of anal itching. It can be a symptom of sexually transmitted disease (like anal herpes, gonorrhea, etc). Get clinically examined by a GP and get STD tests done, if tests are positive you will need antibiotics or antivirals. Avoid having sex for a couple of days. Get stool (R/E & C/S) and urinalysis done to detect infections and parasites (pin worms, thread worms, roundworms, etc).

You should get dewormed, take a course of Mebendazole or Albendazole. Take care of your hygiene. Change your under garments daily, wear cotton fabrics that are well fitting and don't get damp. Wipe well after you poop, what’s left behind can cause itching and burning. Dry pat with a soft cloth or toilet paper. Wiping too hard can cause itching anus or make it worse.

Other medical conditions that cause itching are haemorrhoids, anal fissure or fistula, infections, warts (HPV), pin worms, scabies, stress or anxiety, pruritus ani. You may apply topical creams and ointments like zinc oxide or hydrocortisone ointment (1 percent) on a regularly to help you avoid scratching. Avoid spicy food, dairy, tea and cola. They may trigger itching.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
